AESOP EDINBURGH
Overview:
In a proud collaboration with Aēsop, RÆBURN crafted 56 custom parachute curtains for Aēsop's new store in Edinburgh, located at St James Square. This partnership, unveiled in spring, seamlessly combines wellness, design, community, and purpose, reflecting both brands' commitment to functionality and meaningful design.
Approach:
RÆBURN's approach involved drawing inspiration from the local environment, specifically the Yellow Gorse flowering across Arthur’s Seat, to influence the gold tones used throughout the store. This natural element was integrated into the design of the parachute curtains, ensuring a cohesive and locally inspired aesthetic. The curtains were designed and crafted to encapsulate the store in a unique and practical way, enhancing the overall customer experience.
Services:
Design Consultation: Collaboration with Aēsop to understand their vision and integrate it with RÆBURN’s design philosophy.
Material Sourcing: Selection and repurposing of parachute materials to create custom curtains.
Production: Crafting 56 bespoke parachute curtains to fit the store's specifications and aesthetic requirements.
Installation: Coordinating the installation of the curtains to ensure a seamless integration into the store's design.
Conclusion:
The Aēsop Edinburgh project showcases the successful integration of RÆBURN’s innovative upcycling techniques with Aēsop’s commitment to thoughtful design and community engagement. The custom parachute curtains not only add a unique aesthetic element to the store but also reflect the sustainable and purposeful design ethos of both brands. This collaboration stands as a testament to the power of aligning design with local inspiration and sustainability.
